Concentration tells you how much compound is represented by each milliliter. Buy Amino Acid calculates it as vial amount in mg divided by added liquid in mL. Keeping that unit label visible helps the next step stay honest.
concentration = vial mg ÷ liquid mL
One milligram is 1,000 micrograms. If your requested amount is entered in micrograms, convert it to milligrams before dividing by concentration. The calculator does that conversion only when you select mcg.
requested mg = requested mcg ÷ 1,000
U-100 markings represent 100 units per mL, while U-40 markings represent 40 units per mL. A 50-unit or 30-unit U-100 barrel holds less liquid but still uses 100 units per mL. Match both the markings and the capacity to the syringe you actually have.
syringe units = volume mL × units per mL
A second pass can catch a transposed number or a unit mismatch. Multiply the displayed volume by concentration to recover the requested mg, then compare it with your original entry.
volume mL × concentration mg/mL = requested mg
